Our fee-share model ensures consultants can earn up to 80% of their billings. Your income is entirely determined by your effort and the clients you bring in, with no cap on earnings.
Do I need to work a minimum number of hours or bill a minimum amount?
No. At Setfords, you have the freedom to work in the way you want. This means that there are no billing targets. We have some lawyers who choose to work part-time hours while others work full-time. In fact, one of the biggest perks of becoming a consultant is that you can set your own schedule. The hours you work, the number of clients you take on, and the amount you bill are entirely up to you.

Where can I provide my services as a Setfords consultant?
We are regulated in England and Wales. Our remote working systems allow you to work from most countries around the world, too.
What happens if I’m on holiday or sick?
We encourage our consultants to take as much time as they want for holidays. We understand that sometimes you may be too unwell to work or unable to for other reasons. But this is never an issue at Setfords. It’s highly likely that one of the other 540+ lawyers will be able to cover your matters, and the staff at Head Office can help you find someone. Failing that, you can bring in external locum cover, but this is almost never necessary!
