No. As a consultant solicitor at Setfords, you are responsible for covering the cost of your own practising certificate.
What Is a Practising Certificate?
A practising certificate is a mandatory annual requirement for all solicitors in England and Wales, issued by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). Without one, you cannot legally practise as a solicitor. The cost is paid directly to the SRA and is your responsibility to keep current.
What Setfords Does Cover
While your practising certificate is your own responsibility, Setfords does cover a number of other significant costs as part of your consultancy arrangement, including Professional Indemnity Insurance. For a full picture of what’s included, take a look at our guide to Professional Indemnity Insurance and our guide to the costs of becoming a consultant solicitor.
