No. Setfords will not become your successor practice.
What This Means
A successor practice is a firm that takes on the legal liabilities and obligations of a closing firm. Setfords does not operate in this way. Our model is built around consultancy, not acquisition or succession.
If you are closing or winding down your own firm and considering your next steps, consultancy at Setfords offers a different kind of transition. You can continue practising under the Setfords SRA entity, bringing your expertise and clients with you, without Setfords taking on the liabilities of your previous practice.
For more on how the consultancy arrangement works, take a look at our guide to whether Setfords will buy your practice and our guide to the process for joining Setfords.
