How Many Years Experience Do I Need to Become a Consultant Solicitor?

If you’re considering a move to consultancy, one of the first questions you’ll want to answer is whether you meet the experience requirements. At Setfords, the bar is set with good reason.

The Minimum Requirement

Setfords typically requires at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in your chosen practice area. Post-qualification experience refers to the number of years you have practised as a qualified lawyer, starting from the date you were admitted to the roll. We take on qualified solicitors, chartered legal executives and licensed conveyancers.

The Bigger Picture

Is Consultancy the Right Move for You?

If you have at least 5 years’ PQE and are looking for a more flexible way to practise law, consultancy at Setfords could be worth exploring.
