Yes. If you have an assistant you already work with and trust, you are welcome to bring them with you when you join Setfords.
How It Works
Bringing your own assistant is entirely your choice and sits on top of the support already provided by Setfords. As covered in our guide to paralegal support, the administrative and secretarial support included in your fee split is already there for you. An assistant would be an addition to that, not a replacement.
There are three important points to keep in mind:
- Employment: your assistant must be employed by you, not by Setfords.
- Cost: Setfords does not contribute to the cost of your assistant. Their salary is paid from your share of the fee split.
- Scope of work: your assistant’s work must be supervised by you and they are not permitted to run their own matters.
