If you’re considering a move to consultancy, one of the first questions you’ll want to answer is whether you meet the experience requirements. At Setfords, the bar is set with good reason.
The Minimum Requirement
Setfords typically requires at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in your chosen practice area. Post-qualification experience refers to the number of years you have practised as a qualified lawyer, starting from the date you were admitted to the roll. We take on qualified solicitors, chartered legal executives and licensed conveyancers.
This threshold exists to ensure that every consultant at Setfords can deliver the consistently high standard of expertise and service that our clients expect. To find out more about what joining Setfords looks like in practice, take a look at our guide to the Setfords fee share.
The Bigger Picture
Five years is the minimum, but the reality is that our consultants bring considerably more to the table. On average, Setfords consultants have 19 years of experience. That’s a wealth of knowledge and expertise across the firm, which benefits both clients and fellow consultants alike.
